The transfer case, before work began.
The inside of the transfer case. The intermediate gears and shaft have been removed already.
The inside of the transfer case housing required some griding in order for the larger output shaft sliding gear to fit. This picture shows the location that required grinding as detailed in the installation instructions.
More grinding... the installation instructions did not mention this area. I called TeraFlex about it and they indicated that grinding in this area might be necessary as well - and it was.
The transfer case parts - cleaned and ready for reassembly.
I replaced the plastic caps that come with the t-case with some brass pipe plugs.
The hole for the press in breather was drilled and tapped. From here, a hose will run up into the engine compartment.
The completed transfer case, ready for primer and paint.
